At mfuseagency, I was part of a rebranding team creating new TalkTalk email templates and designs. This position was worked on remotely using HTML, CSS, plus other applications. As there were many templates, we organised and maintained a library of template components to speed up delivery. Using Testi, templates were tested for their responsive layouts. Any rendering issues were dealt with, particularly with the various Outlook versions.

My remote freelance position with EyeFall required the skillset: JSON, HTML, CSS, Visual Studio, and basic Python. My main task is the development of Audi Canada emails in both English and French. Using GIT commands in Cmder, one of my tasks is to run various commands like npm run build to compile the json files within Visual Studio. The correct Data is pulled in and populates the various Partials within the templates according to their unique ID´s. Completed templates are then pushed to our main server for sharing. Testing carried out with Email on Acid.

HTML code was pulling variables such as interest rates, property price increase/decreases depending on the receiving client’s credentials. All code was developed on an in-house system called TIM. Emails were constructed by referencing a standard base file which contained the structure and CSS. Testing was carried out in Litmus against various versions including Outlook and Gmail.

At Feed, my responsibility was developing emails for eBay. Using Global modules allowed code to be reused amongst campaigns to keep consistency. Instead of writing raw HTML, HTML files where created from JSON data files, layout stored in Handlebar templates. This allowed us to reuse HTML that’s already been through QA. All code was stored in Git repository and accessed through SourceTree. Tools used include iTerm (for command line instructions), Trello, Sublime Text, Slack and Photoshop.
